i just checked with www.teamtorquesteer.co.uk

front 56.64 (102 AUS)

del: 45.99

All in pounds---converted work out $259.903167

But here you go - 02 4626 6885 (Campbelltown)

Have you been quoted for OEM pads? Tell me, i want to laugh.

cheers mate, called em and no go they do not have any listing ofr front and rear they have a listing for front disk with rear shoes, which i is for the zetec /1.6L
so no go ....
autopro said there are 2 types depending on the disc size, one set 45 the other 35...from rda.

Hmm bit worried about that as the Xr4 didn't come with 2 different sizes??? also that sound very CHEAP !!!too cheap in my point of view...

okies im going with the EBC green stuff, will do a bit of searchinh with other o/s places but torquesteer seems great..

ok just got a quote from the local ford dealer...sit down everyone!!

Front $315--install $100
Rear $185--install$100

Total $700!!! for just replacing pads OUCH!!

i was about to place order with torque but just noticed when i add front and rear pads postage goes up to 90 pounds, just thought that was a bit pricey..??
so i have emailed for price's..

Haha yeah, my sister got quoted a similar price for pads on her Focus. Luckily she thought that seemed abit pricey, so she took it to a brake specialist and they did it for half the price...
It scares me that people pay $700 for pads.

try european-parts.net.
much cheaper to import,
I bought red stuff from my local dealer ( yet to put them in)and they cost me about $330 for fronts - ouch!

I have fitted Mintex race pads that I bought from pumaspeed and they have been excellent, over 20 track days/supersprints and only 60% wear. A bit noisy though

The sad to say the part numbers for the XR4 Pads from Ford Australia are the same pads and part numbers as the ones listed for the Zetec and every other Fiesta. So they are not special at all.
The Bendex or Ferodo are the safe option here.

WRONG.
For the 1.6 litre models the front brake pads are - MEYS6J2K021DD
For the 2.0 litre XR4 the front brake pads are - 5S6Y2K021AA

Yeh the XR4 has larger brakes and discs on the back, unlike the rest of the fiesta series

There we go, I stand corrected. Won't use that Ford Parts guy to find parts for me...will I, who knows what I would get.
Thanks for the correction. Very Happy
